Maiden has arrived in Sydney, her second stopover on The Maiden Factor World Tour!

Maiden has arrived in Sydney!

Maiden yacht arriving into Sydney. It's dark, and the only illuminated object is Maiden. You can see some faint lights in the distance, and some people standing around Maiden.

After leaving Fremantle on the 7th April, 2140 nautical miles later, Maiden has just been welcomed into the next stopover on the World Tour, at Cruising Yacht Club Of Australia at 8PM (AEST, UTC+10).

Four Maiden crew are on deck. In the centre of the image, one crew member (Courtney) is shining a light on a small object, attached to one of Maiden's ropes. Behind her, and to her right, Amalia is filming Wendy speaking to someone on shore. She is very happy and smiling. Behind her, Belle is packing something away looking very busy. It is very dark.

Maiden was escorted in by two magnificent yachts, Argo and Wild Thing, with friends and family waiting to cheer in the crew. Wendy was especially pleased to arrive at her hometown and club and to see many familiar faces!
After a well earned rest, Wendy and the crew will be back at CYCA tomorrow to welcome pupils from her old school, Plumpton High, Sydney. They will be visiting Maiden and adding their handprints to Maiden’s ‘Hands Around The World’ sail.

Check out the events on our Facebook page for details and booking information for Wendy’s talk at CYCA on Tuesday – there are still spaces available and we’d love to see you there!
