Maiden has arrived in Sydney!
After leaving Fremantle on the 7th April, 2140 nautical miles later, Maiden has just been welcomed into the next stopover on the World Tour, at Cruising Yacht Club Of Australia at 8PM (AEST, UTC+10).
Maiden was escorted in by two magnificent yachts, Argo and Wild Thing, with friends and family waiting to cheer in the crew. Wendy was especially pleased to arrive at her hometown and club and to see many familiar faces!
After a well earned rest, Wendy and the crew will be back at CYCA tomorrow to welcome pupils from her old school, Plumpton High, Sydney. They will be visiting Maiden and adding their handprints to Maiden's 'Hands Around The World' sail.
