The whole week was just amazing and more than a little surreal for a Round the World Sailor! There were some fun interviews.
Maiden was premiered at the Village East Cinema and once again received a standing ovation with tears and laughter thrown in. To be part of this whole experience with New Black Films Producers Victoria Gregory and James Erskine was truly wonderful.
The red carpet was so much fun and Sony Picture Classics had invited some amazing people. I may also have been a tad overexcited....
It was brilliant to meet the Director of Free Solo, the awesome Jimmy Chin. We feel as if Maiden has been following Free Solo around the world.
After the screening there was an after party hosted by Sony Pictures Classics and my life became just a little more surreal - and fantastic!
If you want to know what I am thinking here? 'I could die happy right now!'
And here? 'I am so short!'
To say that I had a great time would be an understatement and Maiden was given star treatment. Thank you so much to Sony Pictures Classics and Falco Ink. A wonderful time was had by all. Looking forward to the USA release.
